coney island chili dogs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 small onions peeled
  • ½ can tomato juice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ of a 2 oz jar mexene chili powder
  • salt & pepper
  • hot dogs
  • hot dog rolls
  • 1 small onion diced
  • american cheese sliced into strips

Instructions

  1. brown ground beef, seasoning with garlic powder, chili powder, salt & pepper then the drain fat
  2. add onions, and tomato juice
  3. bring to a boil and cover and cook on low for at least 30 minutes
  4. steam hotdogs in 2 inches of water
  5. serve on a bun with american cheese topped with hot chili and then chopped onions
