Ingredients

  • 1 can san marzano tomatoes
  • ½ stick butter
  • 1 onion cut in ½
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 lb pasta

Instructions

  1. cook tomatoes, butter and onion halves in a pot on medium until bubbling
  2. turn to simmer and cover and cook 30 minutes
  3. remove onion
  4. mash or use a hand blender to puree tomatoes
  5. season with salt & pepper
  6. serve over pasta
