teriyaki chicken

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbl brown sugar
  • 2 tbl sherry or white wine
  • 2 tbl rice wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 package chicken thighs
  • 2 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. preheat broiler
  2. combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sherry, rice wine vinegar, garlic, ginger and red pepper flakes
  3. pout into a zip lock bag
  4. season chicken thighs with salt & pepper and then add to the bag and let sit for 10 minutes or refrigerate overnight
  5. broil chicken skin side down on the middle rack for 10 minutes
  6. turn chicken a broil for 8 minutes
  7. top chicken with sesame seeds and broil for 1-2 minutes until sesame seeds turn golden
