teriyaki glazed meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef
  • 4 scallions thinly sliced, whites and greens separate
  • ½ cup panko bread crumbs
  • salt & pepper
  • 4 tbl soy sauce
  • 2 tbl honey
  • 2 tbl hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp corn starch

Instructions

  1. mix ground beef, scallion whites, panko and salt & pepper and form into golf ball sized meatballs
  2. bake in a 325-dregree convection oven or a 400-degree regular oven for 15 minutes, until browned, turning once halfway through
  3. heat soy sauce, honey and hoisin sauce until it bubbles
  4. mix 1 tsp corn starch with ¼ cup water to create a slurry
  5. whisk the slurry into the sauce and cook until thickened
  6. add meatball to the sauce and stir to combine
