shrimp steamed in beer

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs frozen shrimp cleaned and deveined in their shells
  • 4 cloves garlic peeled
  • 2 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp hot chili flakes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 tbl chopped parsley
  • 1 tbl dill
  • 1 can beer

hot lemon butter

  • 1 stick butter
  • juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 clove garlic smashed

Instructions

  1. Defrost shrimp in a colander under cold running water for 7 minutes
  2. combine all the ingredients in a large saucepan
  3. cover and bring to a boil
  4. simmer for 2 minutes and remove from heat
  5. serve shrimp in their shell with hot lemon butter
  6. melt butter until bubbling
  7. add lemon juice, worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt & pepper
  8. serve hot

Recipe Notes

Buy the shrimp already cleaned and deveined and they defrost in a colander under cool running water in less than 10 minutes!
