animal style fries

frozen french fries topped with american cheese and popped back in the over for a minute to melt, then covered with fried onions and russian dressing
serves 4

Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen crinkle cut fries
  • 1 onion finely diced
  • 1 tbl olive oil
  • 1 tbl butter
  • sliced american cheese
  • russian dressing

Instructions

  1. cook fries according to directions
  2. saute onions in olive oil and butter for 15-20 minutes until browned
  3. top cooked fries with sautéed onions and american cheese and melt in oven for 2-3 minutes
  4. top with russian dressing and serve

Recipe Notes

I made these based on the many instagramed photos of them and they were awesome!! I used russian dressing that I purchased at the Ritz Diner in Livingston, NJ - they make the best!
