pork chops pizzaiola

Ingredients

  • 2 tbl olive oil
  • 1 package pork chops
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 small onion , thinly sliced
  • 1-15- oz can diced tomatoes , in juice
  • 1 tsp italian seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp dried red pepper flakes , or more to taste
  • 1 tbl chopped fresh italian parsley

Instructions

  1. add oil to a cast iron skillet, and heat on medium-high
  2. season pork chops with salt & pepper
  3. cook for 3 minutes per side and remove to a plate
  4. add onion and saute for 5 minutes
  5. add tomatoes, italian seasoning and red pepper flakes and simmer for 10 minutes
  6. add pork chops back in to heat through 2 minutes
  7. sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve
