chicken paprikash

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken cut-up or any chicken parts
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 tbl canola oil
  • 3 tbl butter
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tbl paprika
  • 3 tbl flour
  • 8 oz crushed or diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • egg noodles

Instructions

  1. preheat oven to 400-degrees
  2. sprinkle chicken with salt & pepper
  3. heat canola oil and butter in a dutch oven
  4. add chicken and brown on all sides
  5. add onion and cook until translucent
  6. add garlic and cook for 1 minute
  7. add paprika and flour and saute 4-5 minutes
  8. add tomatoes and chicken broth and cook in oven 25-30 minutes
  9. add sour cream and stir to make a creamy sauce
  10. serve over noodles
