crack burgers

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 burger patties
  • salt & pepper
  • 4 slices pepper jack
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • sliced red onion for topping
  • pickles for topping

Instructions

  1. heat grill to high.

make crack sauce:

  1. in a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, lime juice, and garlic.
  2. add burger patties to grill and season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. grill 5 minutes, then flip and baste all over with crack sauce.
  4. grill 5 minutes more.
  5. top with pepper jack and cover grill to melt, 1 minute.

assemble burgers:

  1. top on buns with red onions and pickles and serve.
