kielbasa perogies and sauerkraut

Ingredients

  • 1 thinly sliced onion
  • 3 tbl butter
  • 1 package kielbasa cut in 2-inch pieces
  • 1 bag frozen premade potato and cheese perogies
  • 1 can sauerkraut well drained
  • sour cream for garnish
  • chopped chives for garnish
  • apple sauce for garnish

Instructions

  1. sauté onion in a tbl of butter, to soften.
  2. add remaining 2 tbl butter, kielbasa and perogies and cook 8-10 minutes, turning everything to brown.
  3. then add about 1 can of well drained sauerkraut, stir that in and heat that through
  4. serve them up with a dollop of sour cream, fresh chopped chives or applesauce
