cheyenne burger

serves 4

  • approx. 1½ lb package ground beef or ground turkey
  • salt & pepper
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 package frozen onion rings cooked
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • bottled bbq sauce
  • 4 rolls


  1. form the meat into 4 patties and season well with salt & pepper
  2. cook the bacon in a cast iron skillet until crisp, remove to a paper towel
  3. wipe the skillet clean with a paper towel
  4. cook the burgers 4 minutes per side
  5. top with cheese and melt
  6. place burger on the bottom bun and top with bbq sauce and onion rings
  7. cover with the top roll and serve with the extra onion rings on the side
