oven fried chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken cut-up
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tbl seasoned salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp paprika

Instructions

  1. preheat oven to 425 degrees
  2. melt butter in a sheet pan in the oven
  3. soak chicken in buttermilk
  4. combine flour, bread crumbs, salt, seasoned salt, pepper and paprika in a bag
  5. toss chicken in seasoning
  6. place the chicken on the baking sheet with melted butter and bake for 15 minutes
  7. turn and continue cooking until crispy and done 15 minutes more

Recipe Notes

I used chicken fat to cook the chicken in because I had it leftover from my matzoh balls and it came out great!
